Last cooking class: Cupcakes, toppers and a souvenir box!
To end up this workshop we taught our students how to decorate "Cupcakes" and how to make cupcake toppers, wrappers and boxes.
First the students prepared buttercream that was later coloured with food colouring paste.
Then we decorated the cupcakes using a Piping Bag. We also used "dulce de leche" to decorate some other cupcakes and used colourful sprinkles to give them a final touch.
After that we learnt how to make a cupcake wrapper. You can find the cupcake wrapper templates by clicking on this link:
The teacher also taught the students a tip on how to put the cupcake in the wrapper by using a small glass.
Finally we cut out some toppers and pinned them on the cupcakes!!!
If you want to make a box to give away the cupcakes as a souvenir, you can have a look at these photos.

Our second cooking lesson: Cakepops!
During our second lesson, kids were taught how to make Cakepops and Cake truffles.
First they mashed up the cake into small crumbs…
The teacher explained how to prepare the mixture and put the ingredients ("dulce de leche" and cake) together and how to make the balls.
They used their hands to mix the ingredients and they really had fun!
Then, while the cake balls were being refrigerated, they were given step-by-step instructions on how to melt the chocolate.
The chocolate was melted in the microwave oven and then the students dipped the cake balls in it.After this the students put the sticks into the cake pops, and decorated them with different types of sprinkles (stars, hearts, circles).
We put the cakepops in a paper baking cup ("pirotín") and decorated the sticks with a ribbon, so as to be given as a gift in birthday party, for example.
As a lot of cakepops and truffles were made, we invited other students from the Institution to try this delicious recipe.
Yum!
Congratulations!
