Gingerbread cookies - The Recipe

Here is the recipe. Let's try them at home!






300 grs flour                              
a  pinch of salt
100 grs butter, softened
120 grs sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla               

      
Cream together butter and sugar.  
Beat in egg  and then add vanilla.   
Gradually add flour mixture until well blended. 
Cover and keep in the fridge for about ½ hour. 


Preheat oven to 350*  

Roll out dough onto a lightly floured surface.  
Cut out into shapes and place on greased cookie sheets.  
Bake 6-8 minutes or until very lightly browned.   
Remove from cookie sheets and cool.



Royal Icing



1 egg white

Icing sugar

Some lemon juice drops
